Bulk fill for building up ground — pads, platforms and earthworks that need volume and compaction, not looks.
How it’s made
Won and sized at the quarry, loaded out by the tipper. It's sized to go down in layers and compact hard — and it's checked out the gate like everything else we produce, because pads and platforms are built on predictable material.
Fill is about volume and compaction, not appearance. It's the material you build ground up with — bringing a pad to level, forming a platform, backfilling a cut. Being sized so it goes down in layers and compacts hard is the whole specification; anything that traps water or won't consolidate is a problem you'll be digging up later.
Fill is placed and compacted in layers, because a thick lift never consolidates all the way through no matter how long the roller sits on it. Predictable, consistently sized material is what lets each layer behave like the one before it — which is what a level, a compaction result and eventually a slab all depend on.
MRP Sand Quarry is an inland sand quarry — nothing is dredged off a coastline. Inland deposits hold a far wider range of grain sizes than coastal sand, so we screen and cut sizes from ultra fines right up to coarse, and because the sand has never been near seawater there's no salt in it. Tell us the size the job needs and we cut to it.
