A soft, clean sand for sandpits and play areas — screened fine, washed clean, and from an inland quarry, so there's no dredged sea salt in it.
How it’s made
Play sand has one job: be clean, soft and good to dig in. Ours is washed, screened to a fine, even cut and handled like everything else we produce — every load checked before it goes out the gate. Inland sand means no sea salt and no shell grit.
Play sand wants to be soft enough to dig and mould, clean enough that it isn't staining hands and clothes, and free of anything sharp. Washing takes the clay and silt out, which is the part that makes cheap sand muddy when it's wet and dusty when it's dry.
MRP Sand Quarry is an inland sand quarry — nothing is dredged off a coastline. Inland deposits hold a far wider range of grain sizes than coastal sand, so we screen and cut sizes from ultra fines right up to coarse, and because the sand has never been near seawater there's no salt in it. Tell us the size the job needs and we cut to it.
