Synthetic Turf Infill Sand

Synthetic turf infill

Kiln dried infill sand for synthetic turf — free flowing so it brushes down between the fibres, weighting the turf and standing the pile up straight.

How it’s made

Dried through the kiln to next to no moisture and cut to the grading turf installers ask for. Dry sand spreads even and settles clean between the fibres; damp sand clumps on the surface. Ours leaves the line bone dry, bagged and ready to brush in.

Infill sits down between the blades of synthetic turf and does three jobs at once: it weighs the turf down so it stays flat and doesn't ruck, it holds the blades upright so the surface keeps its look, and it protects the backing from UV and wear. Turf without enough infill goes flat, moves, and wears out early.

Infill is spread and brushed in with equipment that meters it out. Damp sand clumps and drops unevenly, leaving heavy and light patches that show through the surface. Dry, consistently graded sand flows and spreads at an even rate, which is the difference between a surface that looks laid and one that looks patchy.

MRP Sand Quarry is an inland sand quarry — nothing is dredged off a coastline. Inland deposits hold a far wider range of grain sizes than coastal sand, so we screen and cut sizes from ultra fines right up to coarse, and because the sand has never been near seawater there's no salt in it. Tell us the size the job needs and we cut to it.
